IST World Congresses

These meetings, held once every three years, are the premier international scientific forum in toxinology, drawing IST members and many others from around the World.

Next World Congress

A reminder to all interested that the next international IST meeting is the World Congress, to be held in Brazil, March 2009.

The meeting will be in Recife. No further details are yet available. The Brazilian Society of Toxinology has a website, in Portuguese, which may have information on the Congress (not present by June , 2008).

Most Recent World Congress

This was held in Glasgow in July 2006. Over 200 toxinologists registered with presentations covering many fields of toxinology. The Redi-Award was presented to Prof. Lourival Possani, Mexico, who gave the Redi Lecture. The IST congratulates and thanks Prof. Alan Harvey, Dr. Eddie Rowan and their team for hosting the Congress.
